-Maintains UNIX (must have Solaris) Operating System to provide optimum performance and system availability.
-User maintenance and access control
-Perform System Backup and restore
-WebSphere and/or other Java application software maintenance and administration
- Shell scripting (Perl, Bash, csh, ksh, etc)
-Perform appropriate level software installations and upgrades and related software packages.
-Perform Security Remidiations and ensure system compliance
-Platform capacity allocation and disaster recovery planning
-Increases system and application supportability via automation tools.
-Evaluate and analyze systems, performance, issues and metrics in order to provide recommendations for service improvements
-Ongoing maintenance of development, QA, UAT, and Production infrastructures/environments
-Extensive experience troubleshooting technical problem and strong communication skills
-Network troubleshooting (packet captures, sniffers, ipfilter setups, etc) –Good to have.
