*Job Description*
Client is seeking to add a C# WPF .NET Developer for a suite of critical
systems. The successful candidate will be a self-starter, have experience
ramping up quickly on large projects, work independently to understand
business needs, and design solutions to produce quality working code and
solutions. The candidate’s responsibilities will include both new
development and production system support.
*Location:* The location of the assignment is in the Atlanta offices at
1200 Peachtree Street. The candidate must be e-RAILSAFE certified. The
position is immediately available. Length of the assignment is expected to
be approximately 12 months.
*Education:* 4-yr College Degree preferably Information Systems or Computer
Science
*Responsibilities*
Develop high quality code based on detailed designs that meet requirements
Create comprehensive documentation, conduct thorough testing, and follow
defined change control processes.
Provide support for a mission critical application
Effectively communicate with end-users, co-workers, managers, and other
stakeholders
Demonstrate a high level of initiative and attention to detail during daily
operations
*Skills Required*
*Minimum of 7 years of experience in Object Oriented design and development
(C#, C++, Java)*
*Minimum of 5 years of experience in application development using C# .NET*
*Minimum of 5 years of experience in application design and development
using SQL and a relational database such as IBM DB2, Oracle or MS SQL
Server*
*Experience working with WPF, XAML, WCF, SOAP and REST models*
*Experience developing WPF applications using the MVVM methodology*
Experience using automated unit testing and writing test code
High level of initiative and attention to detail
Familiarity with application build tools
Strong analytical and problem solving skills
Excellent customer support skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
*Skills Preferred*
Familiarity with testing methodologies and strategies
Experience developing loosely coupled systems using dependency injection
Experience building control templates and custom controls for WPF
applications
Experience developing publish/subscribe event-driven applications
Knowledge of Team Foundation Server (TFS)
