Job Title: Java Consultant with Demandware
Location: Chicago IL
Rate: $80/hr. on C2C All Inclusive
Duration: Multiple Phases {1st Phase of 3 Months}
Overview:
The Demandware Consultant will be responsible for enabling the Global
Digital Technology and eCommerce Operations team*s mission to leverage the
Demandware platform to build effective commerce applications for the web,
mobile, tablet and social channels. The Developer will be expected to
design and develop pipelines, pipelets, content assets, and client-side
content as needed in order to ensure the ontime delivery of projects on
Demandware; provide accurate estimates of work effort for a broad range of
application development activities; provide timely and accurate status
updates on work progress; comply with development processes and
methodologies; and work in a highly collaborative, fast-paced, work
environment.
Requirements:
· Must have 2 + yrs experience translating business-side objectives
into a solid information architecture and detail functional requirements to
lead the design, implementation, and deployment of Demandware eCommerce
systems.
o Strong working knowledge of web application development using
JavaScript, Java, CSS, HTML.
o Being able to write cross-browser, enterprise-level JavaScript.
o Strong working knowledge of one JavaScript MVC framework like
Angular.js, Ember.js, Knockout.js, etc. (Angular.js a plus).
o Basic knowledge of HTML5 and concepts of responsive design.
o Commitment and passion for continuous integration, unit tests, and
using automation to ensure stable deliverables.
§ Prior experience developing API's or REST services a plus. Accurately
forecast engineering effort.
· Must have assisted clients with end-to-end eCommerce solutions on
the Demandware platform including: ( one of more)
o Catalog Management,
o Payment Processing,
o Order Management,
o Call Center Integration,
· Adopt, develop and deploy scalable and appropriate website
Solutions using the Demandware development (customization) framework
· Bonus Points for e-commerce platform experience (ex: ATG,
Magneto, Endeca, IBM Websphere Commerce, Hybris, etc...)
· Proven ability to work with product/project managers and
stakeholders to help refine and capture software requirements in an
iterative fashion
· Excellent verbal and written communications.
