Job Title: Network Engineers Location: Houston, TX Duration: 9 months Rate: $50/hr all Inc Skills Required: · Participate in solution development and costing in collaboration with engineering teams · Organize and manage implementation · Carry out configuration & testing · Participate in change management process · Organize post implementation support for all installed hardware and services · Ensure all new services are fully production ready according to project schedule · Ensure all redundant equipment & services are decommissioned · Perform Move-to-Production duties and Update site documentation on all changes made · Handover support to operations teams · Possess relevant technical certification or equivalent experience on network technologies (HP Networking/3Com product lines) · Good working experience on Telecom infrastructure technologies, e.g. LAN, WAN, Wireless LAN, VLAN · Execute Implementation Plan · Insure the proper change plan is in place with the right resources engaged · Organize resources through vendor, if required · Provide sound fallback/contingency plan · Attend regular project meetings and provide status reports weekly · All services built to the specifications provided by engineering on time and within budget · Provide all documentation required for ongoing support · Organize ongoing support including any training · Organize testing to validate redundancy works as designed prior to moving to production. Validate and ensure the end user experience is working as designed. · Perform the move to production for all devices and insure hardware make/model, device names, and software versions conform to LAN Council standards. · Insure the CMDB is updated properly · Insure the standard level of code is installed on the device(s) · Insure the devices are setup for monitoring and validate. · Provide complete device list to the project manager of all devices implemented, changed or decommissioned · Responsible for insuring the placement of wireless access points are per the plan and if not update the documentation on those changes.
