They are the go-to expert on their clients’ data, and are principally responsible for understanding client data requirements and providing analysis and quality assurance to ensure that data is suitable for modeling. They also support the team by providing novel analysis, configuring data tools, writing or reviewing custom transformations and are generally the key team member that is closest to the client data and has a clear view of . These responsibilities are like: • Identify and report potential data quality issues, through automation and visualization • Document and investigate trends or issues within datasets across multiple transformations • Assist in the creation of data transformations and configuration metadata for project teams Qualifications: The Data Analyst role is an entry to mid-level position for applicants with a passion for working with wide and varied data sets. We seek candidates with strong data problem solving skills, a results oriented mindset, and a desire to make a personal impact within an agile environment. This is a hands-on role in a small and highly motivated team where you will develop and use skills related to data quality, analysis, self-management, ETL, databases, scripting, and project delivery. Required Skills : • Self-management and effective communication • Expertise manipulating and analyzing data for QA using appropriate tools (at least one of: Excel pivot, R, SAS, SQL, or similar) Requested Skills : • Knowledge of common QA process and tools to share information (JIRA, Confluence, or similar) • Working knowledge of SQL to manipulate and clean large data sets (preference for Postgres or similar) • Knowledge of scripting languages, text manipulation tools, and other automation aids (e.g., Python, sed, awk, regular expressions, Linux shell scripting) • Experience working with one or more ETL products (preference for Pentaho) Experience/Education : • 3 years’ experience analyzing and transforming complex data sets • Bachelor’s Degree (IT/Engineering/Math/Science preferred) Regards, Srinivas -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "American Vendor--IT Consulting" group.
