Duties & Responsibilites : | Required Skills:
· Formulate and define application scope and objectives and devise/modify procedures to solve business problems.
· Prepare and write detailed specifications from which programs will be design, code, test, debug, and document programs.
· Develop business knowledge and relationships to integrate activities with other IT departments to ensure successful implementation and support project efforts.
· Monitor and report to management on the status of project efforts, anticipating and identifying issues that inhibit the attainment of project goals and implementing corrective actions.
· Foster and maintain good relationships with customers and IT colleagues to expected customer service levels.
. Experience with use of Admin Console for WebLogic Server 11g (or other J2EE application servers)
. Admin experience in ESRI ArcGIS Server v.10
. Bitvise SSH Server 5 or other FTP server admin experience
. Windows Server 2003/2008, Linux; Experience in basic use of Windows/Linux commands.
. Rudimentary knowledge of SQL commands for RDBMS such as Oracle and Microsoft SQL Server
· Directly related experience in business application design, development, installation, and modification in an online environment.
· Conceptual knowledge of information technologies and methodologies, in-depth PC computing environments experience is critical.
· Experience in the industry or in a production/service environment similar to that of the employer is preferred. Knowledge of project management techniques is required (cross-functional experience is highly desirable)
· Experience with structured design, development, and implementation of new computing architectures.
· Strong technical knowledge, with hands-on experience managing systems development in new computing architectures and environments (e.g., client/server Web);
. Knowledge of relevant technology, tools, and middleware is critical, including C/C++, 4GLs, OLE/MS Office, Windows, ODBC, GUIs, RPCs, various RDBMSs, and others.
Education Required:
A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related discipline, or equivalent work experience and technical training, is required.
