Client Seeking (2) Senior Architects with either strong Cloud architecture experience OR a strong background in Java and NoSQL architecture.
REQUIRED SKILLS:

Business needs:
The goal of the resiliency program is to reduce risks/ business impact by re-architecting, hardening systems, and transitioning architecture to a DevOps model.
High-Level overview of the application:
This is a program that covers 10 different applications with each application having a different technology stack. These cover multiple functional areas like activation, enterprise event messaging, enterprise services platform, enterprise directory service, etc.
Overview of what is needed:
They need to have experience in open source technologies, and the following experience:
•Making architectural patterns resilient
•Distributed processing
•Active/Active architecture
•Clustering with NoSQL Databases
•Platform as a Service (ie any Cloud experience such as vmware, vituralization, amazon, Rackspace, etc)
•Scaling out, Isolate from network
•Working heavily with data layers (not looking for traditional oracle data exp, need big data/noSQL)
•DevOps model and Agile experience
•Open Source technologies such as: Cassandra, Kafka, Hadoop/MapReduce, HBase, RabbitMQ, Camel, etc. They need to have experience in developing active/active architectures, building/using well-formed APIs, etc. They need to have strong operations experience and understanding so they can participate in the devops model.
Responsibilities:
•Responsible for providing senior level expertise on decisions and priorities regarding the enterprise’s overall systems architecture.
•Facilitates the establishment and implementation of standards and guidelines that guide the design of technology solutions including architecting and implementing solutions requiring integration of multiple platforms, operating systems and applications across the enterprise.
•Reviews, advises and designs standard software and hardware builds, system options, risks, costs versus benefits and impact on the enterprise business process and goals.
•Develops and documents the framework for integration and implementation for changes to technical standards.
•Assists in the development of and manages an architecture governance process. Provides technical guidance to project team areas as appropriate.
•Tracks industry trends and maintains knowledge of new technologies to better serve the enterprise’s architecture needs.
