*Prefer local and prefer certified* *Duration: 2 months with possible extensions* *Location: Miami, FL* *GC/USC Only* *BASIC PURPOSE:* The Software Engineer .Net is responsible for designing and developing .NET solutions that will support the Finance operations of Global Casino. *QUALIFICATIONS:* *Education:* Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related area is required. Certifications in .NET or Software Development are highly desirable. *Experience:* • The candidate will have a minimum of 7 years of experience as a .NET developer (Client-Server and Web solutions). • Expertise with Visual Studio 2010 or higher • Expertise with Client Server and User Interface development • Expertise with Web Services and XML • Must have experience with formal software development methodologies such as SDLC, Agile. • Expertise with database modeling and stored procedure development. • Experience with Oracle • Expertise with MS SSRS • Strong initiative and ability to anticipate problems and prepare solutions. • Having experience working on a large scale project / program is desired. • Must have experience of 1 or more software delivery methodologies, ideally Agile. • Experience in Business Analysis is a plus. • Experience in developing Financial / Accounting solutions is highly desirable • Background in the Cruise Industry will be considered a plus. *POSITION SCOPE:* The Software Engineer .NET will work with the Corporate IT group to develop applications that will support the Finance operations of Global Casino. The person will meet agreed-upon deadlines and perform other duties as assigned; always, successfully managing multiple endeavors. The individual should demonstrate exceptional analytical, problem solving and critical thinking skills. The Software Engineer .NET will work closely with members from Global IT and the business to translate requirements into applications, supporting the delivery of the solutions throughout the life-cycle of the project. *ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:* • Analyzing functional and non-functional requirements to design and create solutions that meet the business needs • Working with IT colleagues to review and translate requirements into design tasks. Prepare design documentation and participate in design reviews • Identifying software components, interfaces, dependencies and integration points to implement technical solutions • Creating technical documentation such as software architecture documents and design documents. • Developing .NET and web applications according to business and technical requirements • Documenting unit test scripts • Performing quality assurance and testing activities according to planned schedules • Providing system support. • Ensuring adherence to project management process, systems development methodology and quality standards for producing project deliverables. • Preparing status reports and maintaining development documentation *Manager Notes* – 1. Must have Oracle Data Modeling experience 2. Must have SSRS experience 3. Must have Web Services and XML experience 4. Must be able to develop web portals from scratch *Additional Notes* – 1. Preference will go to .Net Certified candidates 2. Casino or Financial background is a plus 3.
