Job Title: Sr. Network Engineer Duration: 12 months Location: Richmond, VA Overview Manage day-to-day operations of network; monitor network performance, troubleshoot problems, and provide maintenance (addition/deletion of users, file server configuration and recovery, documentation of network resources). Ensure security of data stored on network servers and workstations and establish backup procedures. Develop network solutions to address present and future needs; test hardware, software, and operating systems to assess usability without risking network stability; recommend software purchases to reduce risk of network failures; project budgets. Install hardware and software including network infrastructure (servers, interface cards) and cabling. Consult with supervisor, Central Information Technology Services, and/or vendor on more complex issues.
