Strong learning competency and ability to teach others. Advanced troubleshooting and problem solving capabilities *Senior Applications Specialist Job Requirements: * BS degree in MIS or Computer Science, or equivalent work experience. 5+ Years’ experience working in a medium or large operating environment supporting 1,000,000+ transactions per month. 3+ Years’ experience supporting a minimum 100 person computing community. 2+ years of programming or system analysis experience. Experience translating business requirements into technical specifications. Overall knowledge and understanding of IT environment. Applicable technical certifications preferred. i.e. MCSE; MCSD, MCDBA CISSP. Understanding of IIS 7.0 modular architecture and workloads. Experience Securing Web sites and Web application pools. Advanced Experience of Troubleshooting Web servers, sites and applications. Mastery of scripting tools and command line tools. Tuning IIS to improve performance. Working knowledge of J2EE and C#. Plan a high-availability solution that uses clustering services. Plan a high-availability solution that uses Network Load Balancing.
