*Role:: **Capacity planning* *Location:: Scotts Valley, CA* *Duration:: 12+ months* *Client:: Wipro* *Job Description::* *Responsibilities* • Create usable and meaningful capacity baselines and reports for Seagate infrastructure performance and resource usage • Experience planning resources using Cloud or IaaS implementations • Develop forecast models for server, storage, and network growth, including usage driven scale-up of existing environments and new datacenter build-outs • Evaluate, develop and deploy advanced monitoring tools for performance analysis and problem isolation • Determine the capacity planning metrics to be collected and the frequency of their collection • Interface with application teams and architects to profile application data flows and growth projections. • Take ownership of reporting & trending, application performance oversight, business impact analyses, ad-hoc studies, modeling and hardware/storage forecasting • Use analytical modeling for capacity planning, growth and scalability projections • Perform high-level capacity planning functions across critical distributed server environments • Monitor key business projects and related capacity and performance drivers in order to anticipate and plan for hardware, storage and software upgrades. • Conduct software/hardware analysis as necessary to assess workload performance impacts and hardware capacity growth • Prepare regular analysis and reports to management covering the health of mission critical servers and recommend alternative capacity remedies where appropriate • Participate in performance enhancement projects/engagements • Perform troubleshooting and performance analysis in proprietary and open-source database environments *Experience-Must* • 5+ years experience working in large-scale, complex multi-tier environments • A proven track record for development and maintenance of a Capacity Plan • Thorough understanding of Networks, Servers, Storage, Database and Data Center Infrastructures as they relate to Capacity and forecasting. • Knowledgeable of Server/Storage virtualization concepts, technologies, and methodologies • In-depth knowledge of the technical limitations that impact performance and capacity • Able to develop, track, and report on historical/analytical data trends and project capacity requirements. • Superior statistical and data analysis skills • Strong communication skills written, verbal, and presentation • Ability to think critically to help solve complex IT problems • Understanding of business services, system, network and application architectures • Experience with enterprise monitoring/Performance/Management tools such as Operations Management Thanks & Regards Abhay Tiwari Technical Recruiter Phone: 609-897-9670 x 2191 Email: ab...@sysmind.com Fax: 609-228-5522 Address: 38 Washington Road, Princeton Jn, NJ 08550 [image: gtalk.jpg]abhaysysmind [image: Description: Description: Description: cid:image001.gif@01CC0A79.D4FFDB80] -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "American Vendor--IT Consulting" group.
