Job Title: CAD Designer Location: Grand Rapids, MI Duration: 12+Months Contract
Job Description: This position will assist with developing fixture, shelving, or equipment layout documents for revisions to the interior layout of Meijer stores, provide CAD support to Layout Designers as major remodels, capital projects, and new stores are developed, provide smart drawing borders around store departments that are the basis of many automated deliverables using Bentley MicroStation 2D and 3D CAD. This person needs to fill a variety of CAD related architectural type functions. Qualified candidates that have 3D modeling experience in a CAD environment (can be architect but not critical). We have found that people who have previously worked at an architecture firm or store / sign design studio meet our project objectives. Our need is heavy in the CAD drafting trade and use of modern CAD techniques. The ability to embrace and excel as CAD technologies evolve is a personal quality we are looking for. Extensive job or design experience may be less important than a fresh open “computer” minded CAD operator.
