*Responsibilities:*

This position is responsible for operating the organization’s Network &
Telephony environment. Responsible for developing an understanding of the
present state and network/telephony inter-operability as we migrate in
various phases from non-standard to standard operating environment and work
closely with the network engineering group in developing solutions. This
position is a key contributor to the overall design, planning, operating
and implementation of network & telephony installations throughout the
enterprise. The successful candidate will have in-depth expertise in Data,
Video and Voice protocols  and their performance from the edge thru the
core of the network.  Additionally this individual will have expertise in a
wide range of data network access; from Analog modems to Broadband
technologies (Cable, DSL, Wireless, MPLS, VPN, DWDM, etc.).  As the lead of
networking engineers, additional responsibilities include performance
reviews, task and project management, process improvements and trouble
ticket management.

Engineers and operates voice systems; coordinates telecommunication
maintenance functions to accommodate system users and minimize downtime for
all sites across the enterprise.

Ensures high availability for Internet access at the corporate headquarters

Ensures compliance with all voice procedures.

Resolves problems as referred by the Network & Telephony Operations Staff
(Level 3 support).

Develop and maintains networking & telecom documentation.

Assist the network & telecommunications group in support of ongoing network
& telecom improvement projects.

Coordinates with and assists vendors with software/hardware testing and
installations.

Provide configuration changes and programming of all Genesys and Shoretel
call center components.

Provide periodic progress report to communicate project status



*Requirements:*

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience with a minimum 5 years related
experience, increasing responsible voice communications administration
experience.

Knowledge and experience with the various operating systems and systems
performance monitors.

Minimum of 3 years experience with Avaya Telephone Systems.

Familiarity with multiple phone switches, phone mail, key systems, and
associated software including: Mitel, Nortel and ShoreTel.

Familiarity of call center environments, both inbound and outbound
supporting remote locations.

Knowledge of Genesys GVP, IRD, CME, Studio, SCI, OCM and reporting.

In-depth expertise in VoIP protocols (SIP, RTP and related Protocols) and
their performance from the edge thru the core of the network including
Quality of Service.  Additionally this individual will have expertise in a
wide range of data network access; from Analog modems to Broadband
technologies (Cable, DSL, Wireless, etc.)

You need to have a strong working knowledge of data communications and
Internet knowledge including: TCP/UDP/IP, routing protocols (BGP, EIGRP),
tunneling, PPP, ATM, MPLS, DMVPN, DWDM and mobile IP.

Proficient with network security concepts and implementation, such as,
firewalls, Access Control Lists, TACACS, RADIUS, SYSLOG and NTP.

Must know access methods including cable modems, DSL, satellite, and
wireless.

Proficient with network troubleshooting tools, such as, network analyzers
(ex. WireShark), nslookup, telnet,  traceroute, port scanners, IP scanners,
etc.

Must be proficient with Windows, especially its communications and
networking capabilities.

Must be proficient in WiFi technologies.  Experience with Cisco 7500 Flex
and Cisco 1041 Access Points is desirable.

Experience with Cisco 7200 routers, Cisco ASR-G routers, Cisco 6500 series
Ethernet switches and Cisco Nexxus series.

Experience with Network Management System, such as Solarwinds Orion, Nagios
and/or Zabbix.

Proficient in ITIL concepts, such as, Change Management, Incident
Management, Configuration Management, Problem Management, etc.

Working knowledge of Active Directory is desirable.

Excellent problem solving, organizational, analytical, interpersonal, oral,
and written communication skills

Ability to work under minimal supervision.

Ability to interact with staff at all levels.

Ability to calmly work under pressure.

Must be able to work weekends and off-hours as necessary

Must be able to travel as necessary

Must be able to manage multiple, high-priority projects

Commitment to cooperative team approach.
