Precisely specify the functional requirements; design and test components and or systems; integrate components to produce the final design; and evaluate overall effectiveness, cost, reliability, and safety. In addition to design and development, may work in testing, production, or maintenance. A network engineer is responsible for installing, maintaining and supporting computer communication networks within an organization or between organizations. Their goal is to ensure the smooth operation of communication networks in order to provide maximum performance and availability for their users (staff, clients, customers, suppliers, etc). * * *Essential Duties and Responsibilities -* 45% Supporting and maintaining existing/new server hardware and software infrastructure; LAN/WAN Infrastructure for end customers, IP Telephony Infrastructure, Contact Center Infrastructure. 30% Monitoring network events and alarms received through the network monitoring for the tools mentioned above. 5% Creating knowledge base articles for incidents and updating the knowledge base articles. 5% Creating lab environments and recreating and testing out new scenarios and exiting customer problem scenarios. 10% Performing data collection for Software and hardware analysis on Customer infrastructure. 5% Remain technically current via formal training and self-study, and remain aware of market developments and technical evolution in the internetworking industry. * * *Prerequisites -* *Education: *Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics*, *Mechanical Engineering or the equivalent; Masters degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Mechanical Engineering desirable *Experience: *Two to three years related experience; Knowledge of Networking Concepts* .* *Experience in troubleshooting of multi vendor network environments* *Certifications, Licenses, etc: Juniper Networks Certified Professional Enterprise Routing and Switching (JNCIP-ENT)* Thanks !!
