Building test scenarios/Test cases for functional, integration and Regression based upon functional and design specifications and be able to execute in Jira 2. Design, develop and maintain test framework for Hadoop 3. Execute test cases and analyze and report test results to product teams 4. Participate actively in functional, system, regression, user acceptance and end-to-end testing activities 5. Automate execution of test cases/scenarios where possible 6. Participate in product functional reviews, test specifications, documentation review 7. Collaborate effectively with peer engineers, developers to solve complex problems 8. The candidate will be responsible for communicating the status of the QE activities to project stake holders 9. Organize daily defect meeting where we the team discuss outstanding bugs and the resolution 10. Responsible for Bug management activities using JIRA *Requirements:* 1. 5+ years of total experience in QA software testing with all QA methodologies, requirement analysis, writing test plans and test cases based on system requirement specifications or Business Requirement documents 2. Good knowledge on Big Data and Cloudera's open-source Apache Hadoop testing phases including structured and unstructured data with pre-HDFS, Hadoop HDFS and post-Hadoop validations 3. Performance testing techniques with 3V (Volume, Velocity and Variety) 4. Hands on experience testing with querying and managing large datasets residing in distributed storage using apache HIVE data warehouse, HBASE No Sql database and learning the Apache PIG Programming Platform and HUE the Hadoop UI. 5. Well versed with verifying and validating data extractions/loads from source, stage and target tables 6. Experience with a variety of ETL (Extract, Transform and Load) tools (SnapLogic, SAP Data Services, etc.) 7. Experience with a variety of data platforms including Hadoop, Redshift, DB2,Oracle, SQL Server 8. Good experience in testing Sqoop, python and Oozie jobs 9. Experience testing highly integrated systems, APIs, Web services 10. Design & Development of automation frameworks, including automation testing tools, open source tools & scripting languages is desired 11.
