*Job Title: Manual / Automation Technical Test Lead Consultant * *Primary Skill: QA-Testing* *Duration: 6 Months * *# of Positions: 1 * *Position Type: Contract * *Location: San Francisco, CA* *Job Description* - Mid-level QA Engineer who will work with a team of developers and business users to test software releases and support customer-facing applications under the supervision of the QA Manager. This resource will need to interact with developers, business and management to ensure requirements are fully understood and tested. 1. Responsible for Functional Test automation, functional testing, end-to-end planning, reporting and drafting test plans, Required 2. Responsible for setting-up automated test suite and able to CODE (in VB script) and run automated scripts in QTP / UFT 3. Executing test cases/ test plans against test environments. Analyzing and documenting test results 4. Raising and tracking defects in Jira. Identify quality and performance issues in new features developed and write clear descriptions in Jira 5. Be able to troubleshoot issues found in testing 6. Liaising with developers and product management on issue tracking and raising risks with QA Manager 7. Ability to communicate clearly with QA and other departments to provide regular statistics on QA tasks 8. Ability to multi-task 9. Ability to work independently and as-well with offshore team 10. Ability to assign & track the offshore team activities, reporting to QA director 11. Perform tool evaluations and participate in creation of standards and guidelines along with other QA team members. 12. Bachelor of Arts or Science in computers, math or equivalent, required *Experience-* 1. 8+ years experience in quality assurance focusing on AGILE methodologies- required 2. 3+ years experience writing automation scripts, code (VB script) for QTP / UFT- required 3. 5+ years experience in all phases of functional, regression, smoke and acceptance testing- required 4. 5+ years experience with relational database analysis. Ability to interpret and understand database schemas to ensure database integrity- required 5. 5+ years experience with Oracle databases, PL/SQL and Unix, preferred 6. 4+ years experience working with XML and EDI files, preferred 7. 2+ years experience with PHP testing, optional 8. 5+ years experience testing web-based applications. J2EE and SOA platform, preferred 9. 5+ years experience as onsite coordinator and working with offshore team 10.
