*Position: High Performance Data Processing Developer*

Responsibilities:

The developer will be responsible for tasks related to the data acquisition
platform of an active global financial data warehouse and data mart:

• Design, implementation and support of high volume data transformation
processes.

• Design, implementation and support of transaction control architecture
for a highly concurrent active data warehousing platform.

Required Knowledge:



Educational Background or Professional Experience in the Following Areas:

• Thorough understanding of  ETL using Informatica

• ETL Platforms: concepts, methodologies, processes, architectures and
technologies.

• Major ETL Platforms Knowledge: Informatica, AbInitio, Talend, etc.

• Data Structures & Algorithms: Arrays, Lists, Queues, etc. Sorting,
Searching, Hashing etc.

• Data Models: Conceptual, Logical, and Physical & Relational Data Model
Design.

• SQL Concepts & SQL Statements Optimization and Execution. Indexes and
Indexing Strategies Materialized Views, Clusters, Caching, Partitioning,
and Parallel Processing.

• Unix Scripting: Shell scripts, Perl etc.

• Scheduling: Tivoli, Cron-tabs, Informatica Scheduler



Knowledge or experience with any of the following topics would be an
advantage:

• Database Architectures: Transactional Data Stores, Operational Data
Stores, Data Warehouses, Data Marts.

• Large Data Volumes Processing Architectures. Hardware Architectures,
Parallel Processing Architectures, Data Distribution Strategies,
Partitions, and Clusters.

• Parallel processing: Pipelined and Partitioned Parallelism.

• Query optimization strategies, access paths, execution plans.

• Knowledge of any Enterprise-Level Database server: Oracle, DB2, Teradata,
Sybase.

• Understanding of financial products

• Transactions processing: Definition and Properties, Locking etc.
