Ruby on Rail Developer

Location: Washington DC

Duration:  4+ month contracts

 We are looking for team players that are at home squashing bugs and
designing and implementing new features throughout the whole stack.

*Who you are:*

You are a talented problem solver with experience working in Ruby on Rails
or other web development frameworks.  Challenges are something that drive
you, and you are at home iterating on something until it is optimized.  You
don't take code personally.  In fact, you get a kick out of fixing bad
code, and you like to create features that you can be proud of and others
can build upon.



*We'd be especially thrilled to see candidates with the following
experience: *
* 2+ years of professional software engineering experience, with at least 1
professional project where you worked in Ruby on Rails.

·         You’re is passionate about crafting solutions that will be used
in dynamic, fast-paced environments, while taking your abilities to the
next level

·         You’ve lead or been part of an agile team

·         You’ve been involved in multiple projects from concept to
deployment

·         5+ years of Web Development on real-world projects

·         2+ years Ruby on Rails and MySQL

·         Hopefully you’ve heard of Redmine, the RoR-based platform we will
be building off of (if not, whatev)

·         Version control and issue tracking tools; Git, Pivotal Tracker,
etc.

·         Integration and unit testing with Cucumber, RSpec, etc.

·         Code you have previously written is available for review (public
or private)

·         HTML, CSS, JS, jQuery

·         You have experience managing Unix/Linux environments; AWS/S3
(nice to have)

·         JS frameworks, i.e. node.js (nice to have)
