*Location: New York, NY*

*Duration: 500 Hours+*

*Job Description:*



 *It is anticipated that this initial project term will be substantially
extended as soon as the lease for the Data Center is finalized.

*SCOPE OF SERVICES:*

   - Responsible for analyzing the existing server \ storage environment,
   providing remediation recommendations, and planning the phases of the
   physical relocation of this equipment
   - Deliver “as is” and future state designs.
   - Responsible for providing decommissioning and hardware virtualization
   recommendations where appropriate.
   - Prepare time estimates for phases of technical projects. Develop and
   maintain project tasks for large and medium projects. Document all aspects
   of projects to assure other administrators can support the environment
   easily.
   - Help define standard engineering designs, templates, processes, and
   procedures for implementing projects.
   - Interface with Project Managers to ensure requirements are gathered
   for projects and that project status is communicated.
   - Analyze system performance, modifying parameters to improve throughput
   and effectively utilize system resources. Provide recommendations to
   resolve future performance needs.
   - Will be expected to have the technical knowledge and capability to
   troubleshoot incidents that may arise. Proactively put procedures in place
   to prevent and reduce the severity of outages.
   - Installation & administration of Windows environments (Server 2008,
   2012). Patching, account creation, upgrades, backups, etc
   - Migration of existing services to new hardware / virtual machines
   - Develop and maintain installation, configuration, maintenance
   procedures and documentation
   - Issue resolution and troubleshooting for the Windows environments and
   applications



*MANDATORY SKILLS / EXPERIENCE: **Note: candidates who do not have the
mandatory skills will not be considered.*

   - At least 6 years of work experience administering Windows 2003 / 2008
   / 2012 Servers along with active directory.
   - At least 6 years of experience in migration, operations,
   administration and maintenance of Microsoft SQL Server 2008/2012, Microsoft
   SharePoint 2007,2010, 2013.
   - At least 6 years of experience in architecting, building and
   maintaining systems on Microsoft Azure.
   - Hands-on VMware administration including virtual server management,
   template building, monitoring and design. Proficiencies with VMware
   VSphere/VCenter 4.x, 5.x environments, and SAN technologies; iSCSI and
   FiberChannel
   - Ability to work well in a team environment
   - Ability to prioritize, track and execute on multiple projects
   - Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
   - Experience working with Terminal Servers
   - Experience with Windows server security and hardening servers
   - Experience with AD, DNS, DHCP, IAS, Windows Print Servers
   - Experience with Exchange 2007/10, Backup Exec, Symantec Endpoint
   Protection Management Servers, Blackberry Enterprise Servers
   - Experience with high availability and multi-site environments
   - Experience working in a 24x7 high transaction volume environment.
