Job Title: Application Development I am looking for a senior web developer/analyst with excellent verbal and written communication skills, coupled with strong interpersonal skills. This assignment is more than just a coding position. The candidate will be expected to work with a project team to define a long and short-term technical vision for the application. He/She is expected to be a hands-on developer, not just an analyst or advisor. This position will require meetings with business clients and the ability to write professional documents and emails. This individual must have at least 6 years of application development experience. The candidate will work with a team of several other developers and a project leader. The assignment is to build a simulator for electric distribution operators and engineers. The simulator will depend on interfaces with many existing electric distribution systems and databases. The assignment will require the candidate to have hands-on skills with a broad range of technologies. The candidate must have experience architecting solutions and be able to make recommendations with respect to performance monitoring and tuning. - 5+ years of intensive Web design and development with IIS, ASP and .NET - Microsoft Active Server Pages (ASP) programming (4-6 years) - Microsoft .NET programming (2-4 years). - Microsoft SQL-Server programming (4-6 years) Including database design, complex queries, and DTS - Oracle database knowledge (a plus, but not required). - Strong knowledge of Visual Studio, JavaScript, VBScript, and Visual Basic. - Basic skills using Microsoft Office Word and Excel - Excellent documentation skills Experience with Visual Studio including Visual SourceSafe Knowledge of the Electric Utility businesses Experience with any of the following technologies/methodologies: Biztalk _________________________________________________________________________________ POSITION 2: *Infrastructure Architect* Client – Medivation Loc – SFO, CA Interview mode : 2 Phone interviews ( may ask for a Skype also ) *Job Title:* *Infrastructure Architect* *Job Description:* Architect is responsible for the end-to-end design, implementation and successful operation of Medivation’s internal and vendor-enabled infrastructure, messaging, storage, network, security & continuity services. Additional responsibilities include planning, organization, and management of related programs, projects and ITIL processes to ensure service level consistency and optimization. He will also lead activities to resolve hardware and software problems in a timely and accurate fashion. *Essential duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:* *Strategy & Planning* · Assist in designing and implementing short- and long-term strategic plans to ensure services meet existing and future requirements. · Assist in creating an infrastructure and security architecture and standards for the management, improvement and growth of the services based on industry best practices. · Develop, implement, and maintain policies, procedures, and associated training plans for Service Desk support and infrastructure administration based on industry-standard best practices and SOX and FDA requirements. · Management multiple projects according to industry-standard best practices and SDLC requirements. · Conduct research and make recommendations on products, services, protocols, and standards in support of all infrastructure procurement and development efforts. · Development and maintain contingency operation plans for Medivation’s IT Services. *Acquisition & Deployment* · Lead the deployment, monitoring, maintenance, development, upgrade, and support of IT services and associated processes and procedures. · Conduct feasibility studies for various upgrade projects, improvements, and other conversions. · Prepare RFPs, bid proposals, contracts, scope of work reports, and other documentation for infrastructure projects and associated efforts. · Negotiate with vendors, outsourcers, and contractors to secure infrastructure-specific products and services. · Assist with the planning and deployment of infrastructure security measures. · Prepare disaster recovery site and test exercises to restore all operations in a timely manner. · Manage and set priorities for the design, maintenance, development, and evaluation of IT services. · Define hardware and software standards in conjunction with owners and stakeholders. *Operational Management* · Administer information systems infrastructure monitoring and analysis tools and processes for service performance and provide network performance statistics and reports. · Manage operational costs; conduct near- and long-term financial forecasts for expanded functionality/user base. · Establish and maintain regular written and in-person communications with the organization’s executives, decision-makers, stakeholders, department heads, and end users regarding pertinent infrastructure activities. · Practice Service Asset & Configuration Management, including maintenance of component inventory and related documentation. *Requirements:* · 12 years’ experience delivering infrastructure architecture, design and operational excellence. · Exceptional knowledge of service and application delivery, as well as successful service level agreement accomplishments. · Hands-on experience in troubleshooting service infrastructure. · Knowledge of current protocols and standards, including TCP/IP, 802.11, EIGRP, RIP, BGP, iSCSI, NFS, and CIFS. · Conversant with technologies such as: SQL, VDI, SAML and IIS. · Application support experience with Windows Core Services, Exchange Server, VMWare vSphere, Zerto, Avamar, DataDomain, EMC VNX and others. · Ability to make sound and logical judgments. · Demonstrated leadership and personnel/project management skills. · Good understanding of the organization’s goals and objectives. · Strong interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills. · Able to conduct research into issues and products as required. · Ability to prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment and make sound decisions in emergency situations. · Ability to present ideas in a user-friendly language. · Highly self-motivated and directed. · Keen attention to detail. · Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities. · Strong customer service orientation. · Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment. · On-call availability for tier III/management escalations. · Sitting for extended periods of time. · Dexterity of hands and fingers to operate a computer keyboard, mouse, power tools, and to handle other computer components. · Occasional inspection of cables in floors and ceilings. · Lifting and transporting of moderately heavy objects, such as computers and peripherals. · PC literacy required; MSOffice skills (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint). *Education:* · Four-year university degree or college diploma in the field of computer science and/or 10 years equivalent work experience. · Licenses or Certifications: Certifications in Microsoft, Cisco Networking, Virtualization technologies and/or 15 years equivalent work experience. *Thanks & Best Regards,* *G.
