We are actively searching for an experienced Python/JavaScript software
engineer to join a team specialized in the development of software toolsets
used by application development teams within the global organization.
This role specifically focuses on the development of a revolutionary
network device configuration tool, that allows a framework of shared
services to support network management tools to enable network engineers to
plug-in to common data, UI's, administrative, messaging, and other shared
network services.
Must have strength in Python, Java, and single page web applications
development. *We'd ideally like to see some background in Network
Engineering or Network Management in the past.*
Software Engineer with Python and JavaScript experience needed to expand a
revolutionary network device configuration tool.
Software Engineer will implement a framework of shared services to support
network management tool development. Framework will allow a variety of
simple configuration scripts written by Network Engineers to plug-in to
common data, UI, messaging, admin, and other shared services. Demonstrable
expertise in Python, JavaScript, and single page web application
development will be required. A background in Network Management or
Network Engineering would be helpful but not required.
** Expert level *Python and JavaScript* coding skills (required)
** Experience implementing cross platform *Restful web service* required)
** *DOJO, JQuery, Prototype and/or other JavaScript* library experience
(required)
** Experience developing and deploying applications in the *Linux
environment using RPM*'s (required)
** Experience developing *Linux applications on an Apple Mac *workstation
(required)
** A background network engineering will be helpful (Desired/Helpful)
** A firm understanding of SOLID design principles, a commitment to TDD,
and a willingness to abide in team coding agreements (Required)
** Familiarity with Agile values and the SCRUM development process
(desired/helpful)
