Title: Sr. Dev Ops Systems Engineer Location: San Francisco, CA Duration: 6 months, then extensions to 18 months Sr. Dev Ops Systems Engineer – Omni Channel Infrastructure Gap Inc. is working hard to transform the way we do business. Our team is helping to build the next generation of our point of sale systems. We're re-engineering our CI pipeline, building out tons of new micro services and a bunch of awesome mobile applications. We need someone to help influence the design of the application, and lead our infrastructure team as we automate the provisioning and deployment processes of our applications, enabling development teams to move at light speed. You'll be part of the OmniChannel infrastructure team, and work closely with a number of application teams to ensure that the applications are designed to scale, ready for our operations team to take over 24/7 support, and that we're enabling our application development teams to move as quickly as possible. You'll automate application deployment and monitoring with your deep knowledge of Chef, automate provisioning of virtual infrastructure in our private clouds, and help the CI team to design the CI pipeline to work as efficiently as possible with our infrastructure. You will lead the infrastructure team as a mentor for the system engineers, network engineers, and help the technical manager ensure that the team is staffed appropriately for the workload. You will also work closely with product managers and iteration managers to groom the teams' backlogs and ensure that stories are sized appropriately.
