A candidate must have a strong hands-on testing background in Equities Trading. Follow rigorous system development life cycle (SDLC), quality and project management best practices, comply with internal Sarbanes Oxley (SOX) and other processes related to regulatory or compliance requirements, and adhere to Change Control and Problem Management procedures. Excellent understanding of Equities. 5+ years a plus. · Prior working knowledge in trading systems, either off the shelf or custom built. · Working knowledge in several Order Management Systems (LVTS/CRD) and Broker side Execution Management System. · Basic understanding or working experience of FIX messaging · Working knowledge of writing SQL queries · Basics of UNIX and Windows Operating Systems · Basic understanding of Java and .Net technologies · Quality Center proficiency · Working knowledge in QTP (e.g.- test execution using QTP). *Tasks and Responsibilities:*** • Completely adept at understanding and executing the details across multiple operations functions within the end-to-end flow of operations. • Displays problem solving and analytical skills, using them to resolve business problems. • Adept at understanding operational nuances across multiple business areas. • Excellent communication, analytical, negotiation, and leadership skills; solid technical and problem solving abilities. • Responsible for supervising staff in the execution of projects • May serve as back-up for manager. • May have involvement with the business during its strategic planning and budget cycles to leverage knowledge and anticipate technology transformation potential from a customer perspective; provides buy vs. build recommendations; assists in platform determination. *Required education/experience:*** •These Specific Applications and technologies are a MUST: Order Management Systems, Execution Management Systems, and Crossing Engines testing experience Minimum 5 years of QA Lead and hands on testing Experience in Financial service markets with exposure to one or more of the following ? A candidate must have a strong hands-on testing and QA lead background Peoplesoft.
