This growing international industry leader has an immediate 5+ month
contract opening in North Dallas for a Senior Developer (with Ruby or PHP
experience). Will be responsible for creating and maintaining modern web
applications that are compatible with both mobile and traditional devices,
using a variety of technologies and programming languages including HTTPS,
Ruby, PHP, JAVA, SQL, HTML, CSS, JavaScript/AJAX, RESTFUL and SOAP web
services, and responsive design techniques on a Linux platform. Will work
closely with the development and business teams in an Agile environment.
Will participate in all phases of the Software Development Life Cycle
including feature specification, time and cost estimates, design,
development, testing, deployment, and maintenance. Will be extensively
involved in front end and back end development leveraging Open Source
Frameworks and Technologies. Will develop user interfaces using HTML, CSS,
and JavaScript. Will implement software solutions and analyze/resolve
software bugs and performance problems.
Responsibilities:
- This position requires strong verbal and written communication skills,
the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously, and demonstrated
experience in at least six (6) of the following areas and advanced
experience in at least three (3) of the following areas:
- PHP or Ruby on Rails Development experience.
- Large-scale web application development.
- HTML5, CSS3, and Responsive Design using media queries.
- Web application security.
- SOAP or RESTFUL web services.
- LAMP stack (Linux, Apache, MySQL, PHP) or J2EE environment.
- SQL, including the use of aggregate functions and complex joins.
- JavaScript, AJAX, and a major JavaScript library (jQuery, YUI,
Prototype, Angular, etc.).
- Apache or other web server configuration including SSL.
Mobile Application development (IOS or Android).
