·         The Data Architect leads the development and implementation of
the logical data model and physical data design utilizing data architecture
and modeling standards.  They drive the vision and strategy of the office
and enterprise data architecture.

   - Collaborates with the application Architects team and enterprise
   architects team, defines standards in data architecture and conceptual
   modeling for transaction, MDM, reporting, data warehouse databases with
   considerations to database availability, scalability, manageability and
   performance.
   - The Data Architect will work closely with Data Modeling team and
   responsible for providing leadership and technical expertise in accomplish
   the logical and physical data models. And also partners with application
   teams & the DBA’s on the database design.
   - Develop project plans and estimate data modeling efforts for projects.
   - Analyze use cases and design data stores and data architecture.
   - Assesses the impacts and efforts of new projects and continuous
   enhancements to existing application data architectures and data models.
   - Manages the data modeling tool and repository and ensures accurateness
   and up to date information.
   - Stays abreast of data modeling, RDBMS features and functionality.
   Evolve and support the basic tenets of good data architecture.
   - The Data Architect will need to have an end-to-end vision, and to see
   how a logical design will translate into one or more physical Databases,
   and how the Data will flow through the successive Stages involved.
   - The Data Architect will need to be able to address issues of Data
   Migration (Validation, Clean-up and Mapping), and will need to understand
   the importance of Data Dictionaries.

*Skills, Abilities, & Qualifications:*

·         *7+ years of database design and data architecture experience.*

   - Extensive experience in full software development life cycle including
   requirements definition, prototyping, design, coding, testing and
   maintenance.
   - Strong knowledge of Database Architecture and design standards and
   approaches.
   - Experience in managing multiple concurrent projects/Tasks.
   - Requires knowledge of web, middleware technology, Object Oriented
   design and Service Oriented Architectures.
   - Must be able to compile and maintain an enterprise schema across all
   applications and enforce the principles of good (authorized/accepted) data
   design.
   - Design and maintain data architecture that accommodates changing
   business priorities and technological changes.
   - Primary skills needed are Oracle, SQL Server, MF DB2, and other DBMS.
   - Strong knowledge & experience with Industry Party Contact model, MDM,
   Data Warehouse.
   - Strong knowledge of ETL concepts and with data flow design and data
   quality.
   - Strong analytical and problem solving skills; Ability to analyze
   problems and work from issue identification through resolution quickly and
   methodically.
   - Excellent verbal/written communication skills with both business and
   technology staff; Comfortable initiating conversations with peers within
   the organization, as well as the ability to translate business issues and
   requirements into technical solutions.
   - Self-motivated and detail-oriented.
   - Strong skills in maintenance tools and best practices processes.
   - Demonstrable experience with database normalization.
   - Mastery of database fundamentals, design, theory and technologies.
   - Strong ability to architect, design and develop logical and physical
   data models.
   - Knowledge of data, master data and metadata related standards,
   processes and technology
   - Proficient in major development tools such as *ERwin*, IBM InfoSphere
   Data Architect, etc.
   - A minimum of two (5) years of experience in a database development
   role.
   - Experience in normalized and dimensional logical modeling.
