This will include evaluating application design options, configuring application tables and data structures and design for the optimization of both batch and reporting performance. Ø Specific areas of Teradata data warehousing expertise to include: Ø BTEQ, Teradata Administrator and Teradata Manager Ø FASTEXPORT, FASTLOAD and MULTILOAD Ø Data Modeling and SQL Assistant, Unix Scripting Ø Performance Monitoring Tools, Teradata Master Data Management (MDM) Ø Meet with business users and other IS personnel to obtain business requirements for Teradata based reporting and analytic capabilities. Ø Work with business users and other IS personnel to design and obtain agreement on solutions to Teradata enhancements. Ø Support and enhance Teradata based applications, Performance tuning through complex SQL development. Ø Work on projects across Marketing and Finance & Knowledge of UNIX processing and commands. *Time % Summary of major duties:* Ø 80% • Perform lead analyst and development role on the design and configuration of Teradata applications Ø 20% • Support and enhance reporting and application performance via SQL and table optimization. Manage interfaces into Teradata from SAP ECC and BW data sources Ø Meet with technical and business representatives to develop requirements. Ø Craft and design solutions to meet Teradata application requirements. Experience with planning, architecture, and design of Teradata data warehousing and SQL optimization. Ø Develop and execute quality test and support plans. Ø Strong communication skills with both Business and technical representatives. Ø SAP experience familiarity with SAP and BI applications.
