*RELEVANT EXPERIENCE*:-



The DataStage Designer/Development lead will work closely with business &
IT stakeholders and understand ETL requirements and build end to end ETL
migration processes using IBM Information Server stack and DataStage.
Experience of doing ETL in master data management context into IBM
Infosphere AE (11.4) strongly desired.



*TECHNICAL AND FUNCTIONAL SKILLS*:-



•  Minimum 8 years of relevant experience, Should be able
architect complete ETL migration process

•  Strong business analysis and requirement definition
background in the areas of data integration (ETL)

•  Excellent hands on knowledge in DataStage (preferably 11.5)
designing / developing complex ETL jobs

•  Hands on experience using DataStage in UNIX environment

•  Strong ETL and database (Oracle) concepts

•  Experience in  working on large Data Warehousing environments

•  Hands-on implementation experience on designing ETL
framework, including Job scheduling, Exception Handling & Data
Reconciliation

•  Basic knowledge of QualityStage & IBM FastTrack

•  Experience in performance tuning

•  Experienced with implementation methodologies and best
practices (e.g. waterfall, agile, other)

•  Excellent oral and written communication skills

•  Proven ability to work creatively and analytically in a
problem-solving environment.

•  Experience in establishing criteria for data use/test cases

•  Experience defining and implementing error and exception
handling strategies

•  Ability to balance multiple projects and work both
independently and as part of a team



*ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES*



•  Design overall  ETL framework & data flow

•  Provide recommendations on techniques to improve data
quality, ETL processing & data loading times

•  Understand & validate data model in collaboration with data
modeler & SMEs

•  Define ETL standards, guidelines & templates

•  Understand & define data quality rules
