The Data Engineer will be responsible for developing, tuning, and implementing data pipelines for our in house ETL solutions in big data platform by sending data to and from a Hadoop/spark infrastructure. Deep knowledge of SQL on Hadoop (Hive, spark, python). This person will work alongside the data architect and front end developer to surface data, metrics and insights. *Skills & Qualification:* · Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Technology or typically requires four to five years of relevant experience or equivalent combination of experience and education. · Proficient in database development in one of RDBMs: Oracle, PostgreSQL, MySQL, and MS-SQL (must have proven experience in 2 of 4). · Advanced knowledge of hive/spark SQL scripting and execution · Design, implement and deploy ETL processes & aggregations on bigdata platform - hive, spark. · Implementation of complete Big Data solutions, including data ingestion, storage, transformation, and analysis. · collaborating everyday with Big data architects, data modelers, and business analysts · Strong written and communication skills; ability to articulate complex ideas clearly and effectively · Organized and detail-oriented, able to work well under aggressive deadlines in a changing environment and - perform multiple tasks effectively and concurrently · Experience with agile development processes. *Desired Skills: * worked in Spark platform. Experience in data visualization tools like QlikView, Tableau.
