*Duration: 3-6 months* *LOCAL ONLY * *Job description* Looking for a Data Scientist with 4+ years of experience with Scala, Spark, Python, SQL and distributed file systems. Job Functions: • Design and validation of quantitative surveillance models for detecting market manipulation and market conduct rule violations leveraging large volumes of data. • Support of the market data abstraction layer which is designed to provided uniformed, pre-linked, and pre-analyzed view of the market data for MRD surveillance patterns and analytical tools. • Provide efficient quantitative support for market studies, examinations, and ongoing investigations. • Support management and other areas to inform internal and external constituents on overall program vision, processes, strategy, operations, and implementation status. • Engage team members and management to identify issues and problems and to devise solutions.
