A testing position for the Teradata upgrade (from 13:10 to Version 14:10)
project
Application / Modules:
• Enterprise Data warehouse and VSD data warehouse
• Teradata SQL
• DataStage

*Responsibilities:*
• Executing batch process.
• Troubleshooting job failures.
• Writing validation scripts in Teradata SQL to compare data between
baseline and post upgraded results.
• Troubleshooting data issues
• Fixing bugs and devising workarounds that may be needed for the upgrade.

*Skill Level*
• 5-7 years of experience in Teradata
• 5-7 years of experience in DataStage

Experience:

•Most recent experience (2+ years) in Teradata V12.

•At least 5 years of strong SQL writing experience.

•Requires ability to write queries and view results in the EDW on the
Teradata platform.

•Requires ability to communicate progress and basic troubleshooting
information for any defects to the project team.

•Coordinate and execute predetermined EDW test scenarios to verify the
upgrade has left intended functionality intact.

•They’re upgrading from Teradata V12 to V13, and want someone to start asap.


•They require VERY sharp people technically.



Responsibilities:

•Writing queries based on test cases.

•Coordinate the running of queries in EDW for the execution of the specified
tests.

•Execute test scripts.

•Log and provide troubleshooting information for defects found.

•Interact with external teams including but not limited to DBAs, different
source system teams to troubleshoot data discrepancie
