The Corporate Operations Group (COG) brings together specialist support
services including workplace, human resources, market operations and
technology. COG's purpose is to drive operational excellence through
business-aligned services with a focus on quality, cost and risk. COG
comprises the following divisions: Business Improvement and Strategy,
Business Services, Human Resources, Market Operations, and Technology.



Key Responsibilities:

The Application Support disciple within Information Technology Group (ITG)
is part of a global team with a local focus. As Macquarie evolves along its
DevOps journey, engineering & automation are in the forefront and important
requirements for this role.  This role will be on the front lines for
maintaining and expanding the capabilities of CFMs varied systems.  The
core responsibilities of this role include:

•             Manage, maintain, and enhance Macquarie's trading and risk
management software.

•             Knowledge of scripting & automation techniques is a must,
Python is required.

•             Apply engineering to eliminate manual support procedures and
improve automation & self-service capabilities of the platform.

•             Improve all aspects of the platforms reliability – better
monitoring, alerting, job scheduling.

•             Work closely with traders and other business users to provide
in-depth technical support for their applications; however this is not
purely a front line support position.

•             Take ownership of operational issues and perform both
short-term resolution, and development of preventative measures for the
longer term.

•             Work closely peers at other geographic centres in the US and
around the world using a "follow the sun" model of application support.

•             Ensure that the Bank's change management procedures are
followed.

•             Help design, maintain and manage our disaster recovery
environments.

•             Some weekend on-call rotations expected.

Day to Day Duties :

•             Level 1 - First line of contact in monitoring & maintaining
our production environment & stability

•             Manage user support & onboarding requests.

•             Use engineering and automation skills to improve the level of
auto-healing, recovery and self-service capabilities of the platform.

•             Continuously look for opportunities to improve automation and
eliminate manual operational tasks
