A client located in Tallahassee, Florida is looking for the services of an
experienced Database Analyst, responsible for designing, modeling,
developing and supporting Database Management Systems (DBMS). Additional
responsibilities include, but are not limited to: data requirements,
application and processing architectures, data dictionaries, and database
schema(s), and then designs, develops, amends, optimizes, and certifies
database schema design to meet system(s) requirements. This individual will
gather, analyze, and normalize relevant information related to business
processes, functions, and operations to evaluate data credibility and
determine relevance and meaning. Additionally, they will develop database
and warehousing designs across multiple platforms and computing
environments, as well as develop an overall data architecture that supports
the information needs of the business in a flexible but secure environment.
*Responsibilities:*
The candidate must be able to perform the following duties and/or tasks:
- This resource will primarily be tasked with performing Database (DB2,
SQL Server, Oracle, GIS) planning and operational activities including, but
not limited to the following:
- Daily operational and database administration activities
- Plan, design, implement, support for database structures
- Conduct database performance monitoring and tuning
- Develop and maintain database administration procedures and
documentation
- Perform SQL Code reviews
- Assist with training/mentoring DBAT staff
- This resource may also be required to perform other database or
infrastructure activities as requested.
*Education:*
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or other
related field; or equivalent work experience.
*Minimum Experience Required:*
The candidate must have skill and 5 years combined experience in database
administration for the following database platforms:
- SQL Server 2008R2, 2012
- Oracle 10g and above
- DB2 for z/OS
- Experience with Azure SQL is a plus
- Experience with GIS is a plus
