Position : C#.Net WinForms Developer (GC or Citizens only) Location : Irvine, CA Duration : 12 months The Programmer / Analyst will work as part of a team responsible for new application development and/or improving existing applications to meet the changing needs of our business. Specific assignments will include application design and development, coding for enhancements and fixes, testing and performance tuning. Advanced level of programming competency is required in object oriented design patterns and languages. Knowledge and Skill Requirements: • C#.NET, WPF, WCF, Winforms – this is the core skill • ideally 3 plus years experience with XP or Scrum agile development methodology • Refactoring existing code and implementing new features using test driven development • Continuous Integration tools (e.g., Perforce, QuickBuild) • Tomcat Application Server Java would be a nice to have (this is the middle tier) Nice to have - Spring.NET <http://spring.net/>, Infragistics Controls, Java Spring, Hibernate or ORM equivalent) • Deployment and configuration of application server on a Linux/Unix environment. • Advanced knowledge of programming language(s), software development tools and environment(s)and systems analysis and functional design. • Advanced knowledge of database design and database concepts. • Advanced knowledge of application design principles, practices, system development methodologies and software life cycles. • Thorough knowledge of project/task estimation and planning. • Thorough knowledge of software change control procedures. • Demonstrated ability to participate in all phases of application software development. • Demonstrated ability to lead some phases of application software development. • Demonstrated ability to direct the activities of programmers and programmer/analysts within a project.
