Position: SR. Java Developer
*Location: Wilmington, DE*
*Duration: 12 months+*
*Qualifications*
Knowledge and Experience
Minimum essential Technical skills to effectively deliver key outputs
- 10+ years development experience
- Java – Strong implementation skills with Java and J2EE
- SCM – Experience working with an SCM tool like Subversion or GIT
- Maven – Experience with Maven repository manager
- Full stack development using the Spring/Hibernate Framework.
- Automated testing with Cucumber, JUnit, Selenium, etc.
- DevOps and Continuous Delivery tools – Jenkins/TeamCity, Vagrant,
Puppet/Chef/etc.
- Agile development tools/practices
- Strong technical background in web-based development and service
oriented architectures (SOAP and RESTful)
- Working knowledge of other languages including: (SQL, PL-SQL)
- Experience with the following:
- Unix Shell script development is a plus
*Soft Skills*
- Experience with various development methodologies/practices
(waterfall, agile, etc)
- Strong analytical, written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent customer-focused interpersonal skills
- Ability to take initiative, and work independently and on several
assignments simultaneously
- Ability to plan and manage project deliverables
- Good personal management skills and ability to effectively handle
multiple priorities
- Experience working in a distributed team environment
- Experience working with third-party providers a plus
