Immediate Need - *DB2 DATABASE ADMINISTRATOR* - Interview ASAP
Position : DB2 DATABASE ADMINISTRATOR
Location : Reston,VA
Duration : 6 months+
*Skills and Experience Required :*
- 8+ Years of UDB database technology experience with concentration in
EEE / DPF
- In depth experience with DB2 UDB EEE/DPF database installation,
configuration and upgrade on AIX / Linux platforms
- Table space management of DPF databases
- Excellent knowledge of Database backup and recovery of very large
databases, typically multi terabytes
- Expert level troubleshooting knowledge of data warehouse type UDB
databases
- Expert level of performance and tuning skills related to UDB EEE/DPF
databases
- Excellent knowledge of UDB database/instance tuning, optimizing
complex SQL statements for best possible performance
- Good Knowledge of new features of version 10.1
- Awareness of SAN technology (SRDF) and VCS to support highly available
environments
- Proven leadership skills and ability to manage multiple UDB version,
instances with multiple operating system platform
- Good scripting skills to create and maintain shell scripts to automate
various database related tasks
