*Unix Administrator Long-term contractParsippany, NJ(LOCAL ONLY)*
The senior Unix Administrator (Solaris/Linux) responsible for supporting
complex storage migrations, OS patching & troubleshooting. SA will be
working with project team, facilities team, storage management and
application team to plan and execute complex storage migrations. Strong
communication skills required as SA is expected to liaise with project team
as well as business units, conversing and highlighting issues and assist
with storage migration project planning, and executing.
Qualifications
Strong core Linux/Solaris Administration skills.
Strong experience supporting EMC data migrations
Host based data migration experience including host level mirroring, EMC
PPME
Extensive experience troubleshooting technical problem
Strong knowledge of device management, Veritas Volume, ASM disk config and
similar enterprise volume Manager
Knowledge of storage area network concepts and fibre channel fundamentals
Knowledge of Powerpath device configuration
Shell or Perl script experience
Technical Skills:
Solaris 10 (and earlier releases)
Solaris 10 Zones
Linux
Veritas Volume Manager (including advance troubleshooting), ASM
Veritas Cluster Server, Veritas file system
EMC Powerpath
Shell scripting
