Oracle DBA
Location: Melville, NY
Term: 6 month + ( Contract Base)
Required
Sr-Level DBA for support of Internet applications and other projects.
Ideal candidate will posess the following: Proven experience with managing
high-performance, high-capacity databases in a critical production
environment Solid Oracle 11gR1/R2 RAC experience on Linux (Oracle and
Redhat) and/or HP-UX including installation, administration,
troubleshooting and performance tuning.
Experienced in Oracle GRID Infrastructure management and configuration
Skilled in Oracle ASM administration Solid infrastructure knowledge
including high-availability solutions such as Oracle DataGuard, Goldengate,
SAN-based replication technologies (SRDF), etc.
Excellent SQL & database-level performance tuning skills Thorough
understanding of backup, recovery and cloning using RMAN, datapump and
export/import. Ability to write and maintain SQL and shell scripts as
necessary to support database operations Experience with Oracle VM a plus.
Experience with Oracle Enterprise Manager Grid Control a plus. Experience
with Oracle Exadata a plus. Able to work co-operatively with fellow
team-members and application / development teams. Willingness to work a
late shift or split week including either Saturday or Sunday; Team player
with excellent communication skills.
