I need a Project manager/PMP who has experience *managing both
Infrastructure and SW development Projects*. This is a one year project
that will likely roll into a two year project. The candidates must have
experience with both Infrastructure and Software development projects. This
will be phone and Skype to hire.

*BASIC PURPOSE: *
This position entails the management of a number of projects for the Global
IT organization of Carnival Corporation & plc. The projects span from
Global Infrastructure Services to Global Applications, to Information
Security, and other projects executed in collaboration with our 9 global
brands of the world’s leading cruise lines and 100+ ships. The Project
Manager is responsible for all aspects related to taking the projects from
original concept through final deployment and contributes as a subject
matter specialist in technology solutions implementation, including
software development, infrastructure implementations, and external solution
providers such as SaaS and cloud solutions. Strong background and
experience in IT technologies and managing infrastructure implementations
are fundamental for success in this role. Some software development
experience is a plus. The individual participates in strategic and
operational processes by working with members of the senior management team
while ensuring IT initiatives achieve business goals by fostering
innovation, prioritizing initiatives, and coordinating the evaluation,
deployment, and management of current and future projects.
*QUALIFICATIONS: *
A baccalaureate degree in computer science or related area is required. An
advance degree is highly desirable, particularly an MBA, as well as PMP or
PgMP certification.
Excellent verbal and written communications in U.S. English. Intermediate
fluency in Italian and/or German and/or Spanish are pluses.
The candidate should possess a minimum 6 years overall experience in
information technology infrastructure implementations, with specific
emphasis in the following:
Vendor Management. Infrastructure Lifecycle Management (ITIL) governance.
Project management. Technology planning. Total Cost of ownership. Proven
ability to drive change, build consensus, and satisfactorily resolve
conflicts.
Background in the Cruise Industry will be considered a plus. Experience in
an environment of diverse, but related systems, platforms, and
applications. Experience directing multi-million dollar budget projects
will be a plus.
· 6 to 8 years’ experience in IT implementing and supporting mixed, complex
environments and solutions.
· A firm level of proficiency and technical understanding of applications
and systems lifecycle is necessary to fulfill the position
responsibilities.
· Experience implementing technology in support of cruise line businesses
is significant plus.
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills, plus solid
organization, presentation and documentation abilities, including Visio
diagrams and “as-built” documentation.
· An understanding of project management methodologies and tools
accompanied with creativity and innovative thinking to find solutions to
complex problems that can balance short and long-term objectives.
· Understanding of change management, process improvement and
organizational analysis.
· Successful in creating a compelling, credible business case for
information technology initiatives.
