BASIC FUNCTION OF THE WORK GROUP The group supports multiple SAP R/3 installations for Client`s worldwide. This basis support includes software installations, upgrades, support pack implementation, performance tuning and troubleshooting. This position requires some after-hours planned maintenance (also on weekends) and on-call support. The group also provides support activities for existing SAP installations. This includes: - monitoring of the systems leveraging CCMS based alerting, - performance tuning via maintenance of buffer pools, configuration of logon groups, and work process distribution - problem analysis & solving, - analysis of Early Watch Alerts, - performance of system copies, etc Systems supported range from several hundred users to large scale R/3 with 11,000 active users in a single instance / client Note: this is not the primary organization for S&C admin; transport admin; DBA support; OS support *SKILL REQUIREMENTS: * Must speak, read and write English fluently Excellent communication skills Excellent problem solving skills Good analytical skills Preferably having worked in distributed organizations before. Besides good SAP Skills also good Windows and or UNIX know-how. Data Base Skills welcome, especially in DB2 and Oracle. The most competitive candidates would ideally have some of the following experiences: • SAP ITS • SAP Net Weaver Java 7.x Central Portal • TDMS for BW systems • Installation/support of Pre-calculation servers • Configuration of Information Broadcasting on BW Java systems • Upgrade of NW Java systems from 7.x to 7.31 on Windows 2008 • Installation /Configuration of SMD Agents for NW Java • Installation of NW Java systems on Oracle • Installation/Configuration of SAP Web Dispatchers and Apache Web Dispatchers • Support of NW systems on both Intranet and Internet on DMZ environments • SSO Certificate Administration • Basis Administration experience on BW system. • SAP Charm support • NWDI support The individual in this position will work as members of a global team.
