POSITION SUMMARY
Expert in HTML 4 and 5, CSS 2 and 3, JavaScript, and have significant
knowledge of integration with back end systems. Experience with large
enterprise software projects, from conception to delivery to testing.
This position will interact closely with project management and software
engineers to shape project requirements and guide projects through
completion.
General Guidelines:
Can hand-code HTML5, CSS3, and basic JavaScript without needing assistance
from code completion or any computer program
Can document ideas in hand-written pseudo code
Continuously seeks out and learns new web techniques on their own
Is a mature professional with initiative and drive
Truly enjoys user interface creation and front end development
The following qualities are not required, but are highly desired:
Understands and enthusiastically embraces philosophies like Web Standards,
Semantic markup and good programming practices
Has created their own independent projects or contributed to open source
projects
Is active in the local or national web design and development community
INTERVIEW REQUIREMENTS
Must be able to solve problems on a white board using hand-written
pseudo-code (HTML, CSS, and JavaScript)
Must understand advanced HTML and CSS, and advanced JavaScript functions
without needing a computer for reference
Must have created several websites from scratch, with preference given to
CMS driven sites (WordPress, Drupal, Joomla, SilverStripe, etc.)
Must know how to use and modify CSS frameworks like Blueprint, Bootstrap,
or Skeleton.
Required Skills:*
Significant OO JavaScript knowledge
Knowledge with frameworks such as Backbone and Marionette
Experience with XML and JSON
Experience using JavaScript and jQuery with server side technology
Expert knowledge of HTML5 and CSS3
Expert knowledge of accessibility and WCAG2 AA compliance
Preferred Skills:*

Mobile web development
Mobile development on native platforms (iOS, Android)
Education/Certifications:*
5+ years of professional experience in web development or a related field.
