*Sr Java Developer*
*Location: San Francisco, CA (Only locals)*
*Duration: 3 Months + start ASAP*
*SUMMARY*
As a Software Engineer you will be responsible for building and supporting
client web applications using Java. The position works within a development
team, taking responsibility for technical design, implementation, and
testing. They will work closely with the Technical, Project and QA managers
to ensure on time and on quality delivery of websites and applications.
*REQUIRED EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS*
· Five years experience designing and building web applications
using J2EE technologies
· Solid knowledge throughout the application stack: Tomcat, Java
(OSGi experience a big plus), XML, HTTP, HTML, CSS, JS
· Experience in working with major database platforms: MySQL, SQL
Server, Mongo, Oracle
· Experience with standard build tools: Maven, Jenkins, Hudson
· Experience working with non-java application stack a plus: LAMP,
Node.js, Ruby on Rails or Microsoft
· Understanding of design considerations for highly scalable
internet architectures, integration for Enterprise systems, and high
performance user experiences
· Experience working application frameworks for web development:
Spring, Struts, EJB, MVC
· Experience in working with enterprise CMS platforms like CQ5
· Strong knowledge in Agile development practices and methodologies
· Excellent object oriented programming and design skills
· Proficiency in software engineering practices and tools, design
patterns, version management and build management
· Strong experience writing unit tests and writing testable code
· B.S. in Computer Science or equivalent work experience
· Beneficial experience: working in a consulting business, retail
business, or marketing organization.
