Position: solutions Architect with Cloud Foundry
Location: Tampa,FL.
Duration: 12 month
Job Description:
Primary job responsibilities
- Deliver successful OpenStack Platform workshops for small to medium
teams of both technical and non-technical backgrounds that shape and
influence the customer’s use cases and architecture design decisions
- Plan and deploy OpenStack computing clouds for customer consumption.
- Scope evaluations and guide customers through successful proof of
concepts and pilot deployments
- Design, create, and deliver content that enables the broader OnX
organization to sell, service, and support our the OpenStack Platform
Releases at scale
- Develop documentation that can be delivered and maintained by customer
- Work closely with internal product teams, Product Engineering,
Professional Services, Support, and Sales to ensure a world-class customer
experience
- Contribute to the development of repeatable methodologies and tools
designed to scale multiple vendor agnostic services capabilities, promote
repeatable customer engagements, and lower delivery risk
- Demonstrate thought leadership in the virtualization and cloud fields
by producing world-class white papers, webinars, etc., and speaking at
industry leading conferences
Required skills
- 8+ years of experience in “hands-on” solutions delivery and/or
architect, enterprise architect, or consulting delivery role with 4+ of
those years focused on cloud environments and their supporting
infrastructures
- Solid background in consultative customer engagement with a major
professional services organization or within the services division of a
major software company
- Record of working in a strategic advisory role to senior IT and
business executives
- Extensive technical hands-on experience with virtualization and cloud
technologies like Red Hat Enterprise Linux OpenStack Platform, Red Hat
Enterprise Virtualization (RHEV), VMWare vSphere, Microsoft Hyper-V, Citrix
XenServer, Mirantis OpenStack, etc.
- Scripting or Development Experience: Shell, Python, Ruby
- *Experience with orchestration frameworks (Cloudforms, vCloud, etc)*
- Experience with Linux HA: pacemaker, corosync, keepalived
- Outstanding verbal and written communications skills, including
extensive experience presenting to C-level executives at large firms
- Solutions-sales mentality in an environment with multiple products and
services
- Ability to work seamlessly with distributed, cross-functional teams to
achieve success on behalf of customers
- Excellent balance of strategic and tactical skills, with a high level
of creativity
- Experience across one or more vertical industry areas is a plus
- Certifications a plus: RHCE, RHCSA, OpenStack, VCP, etc
