Position: VB.Net (3 years) and Java ( 2 to 4 years) deverloper
Modis W2 Pay rate $40.00 per hour to consultant
Description:
- Developing and maintaining .Net and JavaEE applications.
- Develop software components to support data enrichment and
transformation in a high traffic transactional data and data warehouse
environment.
- Provide development estimates outlining business and technical risks.
- Develop and deploy systems in an iterative, incremental process that
fully incorporates testing.
- Provide technical and business explanation and justification for
design and coding approaches.
- Provide thorough, automated unit test harnesses for developed
solutions.
- Regularly update technical and business teams as to plans, progress,
and issues.
- Produce high quality software following best practices.
- 3 to 5 Years of full life cycle development with an emphasis on
incremental, iterative development and deployment using Agile Scrum
methodology
- Development must consist of deployed, large distributed systems across
multiple platforms
- Hard-core development experience with proven ability to release
applications on-time
- Able to program and debug in complex multi-threaded environments
- Experience working with large scale datasets (multiple terabytes)
- A reverence for clean, simple, elegant coding ability
- Demonstrated ability to learn and apply new technologies quickly
- Comfortable in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
- Strong written and verbal skills from both business and technical
perspectives
- Builds and codes applications and/or models using various computer
programming languages
- Generates new code and corrects, converts, and/or modifies existing
code to meet specifications
- Prepares detailed specifications from which code will be written
- Confers with end-users to analyze specified methods and procedures,
identify problems, and document specific requirements
- Writes and updates technical documentation such as users' manuals,
product specifications, and training materials
- Performs a variety of testing procedures on assigned products,
analyzes test results, and corrects problems
- Maintains current knowledge of relevant technologies as assigned
- Participates in special projects as required
