*Requirement:*

Job Title: Cisco engineer

Location: Grand Rapids, MI

Duration: 6+ months

Interview: skype

* Job Description:*

· McAfee - It isn't necessary to know MacAfee in great detail, but
it is important to know how a proxy interacts with end users and their
applications.

· Having this knowledge will make it easier to for troubleshooting.

· Cisco - It is imperative to know Cisco IOS and NXOS and how to
maneuver within the command line.

· With Spectrum acquiring different hospital's all the time (and
little documentation), there is no consistency with each site, so you will
have to know common commands to get to each switch and troubleshoot issues.

· A10 Load Balancers - A10's are new at Spectrum as they are
migrating for Cisco Ace Load Balancers. It is important to understand the
concept of load balancers and their purpose within the larger scheme of the
network.

· Cisco Prime - Prime is Spectrum's Wireless management platform
and you are in there often to troubleshoot wireless issues with clients.

· It is pretty similar to most other wireless applications, so as
long as you have a basic understanding of wireless troubleshooting you
should fine.

· Blue CAT/Proteus - These are their DHCP/IP reservation tools.
Must have common knowledge of how DHCP works.

· Checkpoint Firewall - This is their Firewalls. Imperative to
understand how a state full firewall works, and how source/dest/port rules
can be made to allow traffic in and out of the network.

· Service Desk - This is Spectrum's ticketing application. Just
understand this is where you receive your work at.

· DNS Server on Windows - Must know how A records and CNames work.
Pretty simple to teach how to create them, but should at least know what
DNS is.

· Solarwinds - This is their monitoring application that allows
them to see up/down status. Within this is Netflow. Need to know how to
visualize traffic trends and how they correlate to issues.
