I have put a news annoucement on the Savannah website (http://savannah.gnu.org and http://savannah.nongnu.org).
Thanks to Felix for suppling it. Normally on the 27th we will put an other frontpage in place. That page will link through to the normal Savannah frontpage. The temporary frontpage will contain similar information as provide on the demo web page. We can not afford to completely (or even partially) shut down Savannah, because to many free software developers rely on us.
