The library consists of several backends (currently PAM, su, sudo and consolehelper are supported). Depending on the situation, the best backend is used. Applications call simple, high-level APIs and have no control about password dialog (for security and portability reasons). A frontend application (gnomesu) and Nautilus integration support are also included in this package.
