Follow-up Comment #5, sr #110531 (project administration): vcs1 gets group membership lists for CVS directories from Savannah database. It looks like the 'gnats' name conflicts with local group on vcs1 written in /etc/group, there is another such group, uucp. Not sure how to fix this;
