Thank you!

That is right, there is no public fsf sysadmin mailing list, just the
sysad...@gnu.org and @fsf.org which both go to our request tracker
instance. There used to be but it stopped being actively used sometime
before I joined fsf about 5 years ago. It is possible to bring it back
if that makes sense.

Sorry about that. I will try to be more diligent in updating it and
communicate this to the rest of the team.

Sometimes, some of us subscribed here, can also ping the FSF admins in
other ways -- sysadmin@ is not a list that is easily subscribed to
AFAIK.

I addressed my message to savannah-hackers-public in case the problems
I experienced are due to some wider issue with gnu.org machines, not
local to fencepost. Basically, given that the fsfstatus page seems to
be... ahm... less functional than I'd expect, I consider
savannah-hackers-public to be the closest replacement -- a bunch of
people who have interest in, and some in-depth knowledge of, what is
going on in the gnu.org domains and systems. I apologize if that was
wrong.

I know you CC:'d sysadmin and that is the right place to ask about
fencepost problems. But regarding the TO: to this group none of the
Savannah Hackers have any access to fencepost. As far as the Savannah
group goes we can only suffer along with you and comiserate along with
you concerning any fencepost issue.

There is a fencepost-us...@gnu.org mailing list presumably for
fencepost users to discuss all things fencepost. However it has been
converted to be a notification of aliases changes list almost
exclusively. I haven't seen any other posting there in the last year.
At least not since April. I don't know if anyone actively reads that
mailing list anymore.

Your email to sysadmin will create an RT ticket. They always have a
couple of hundred RT tickets in their queue though. It might take
some time for them to process down to that ticket.

Honestly on fencepost something probably happened and then got fixed
comletely asynchronously to the problem reports about it. I don't see
any chatter on the IRC channels about fencepost but as a general
comment I often see exim get snarled up because of some problem with
spamassassin or other getting broken by a spam message and then a
restart is needed to clear the problem. AFAICT all of that noticing
and restarting is fully manual. I expect that or something like it is
what happened on fencepost.

But the gripe about the FSF Status page is real: lately I find it less
and less useful in such cases. Which is too bad.

Just to give a small shout, I agree.

I sent that 4 hours ago, and in the meantime the problem disappeared.
Kudos to whoever labored on fixing it.
