This capability has been worked on by the Savannah Hackers team for
some time.  It is almost ready.  It hasn't been possible on the
existing system but will soon be possible as we migrate to an updated
one.  Stay tuned for announcements on the main Savannah web page.

I wonder, is it technically feasible to serve
 over HTTPS?

That would give anonymous users privacy and some measure of authenticity
