Apologies for the delay in getting this done.

The configuration changes on our end should now be in place, and I can
see responses from the new ns1 IP address, so you should be good to go
ahead with the migration.

20:57:01 in the logs and all of the Savannah zones were transfered to

Have you tried making the requested changes to the zone transfer for 
guix.gnu.org? I'd like to migrate servers this week if possible.
